Huitzo is a self-hosted AI runtime for regulated enterprises. It runs AI applications — Intelligence Packs — inside your existing infrastructure, so sensitive data never leaves your environment. Unlike cloud AI platforms (AWS Bedrock, Azure AI), Huitzo is model-agnostic and deploys in weeks instead of the 12-18 months a custom build typically requires.
I watched my parents run gas stations and restaurants in the United States smart, capable people who were locked out of the same tools that Fortune 500 companies use, not because they couldn't afford them, but because nobody built those tools for where they work.
When AI became the most powerful business capability of our generation and I saw it being locked inside clouds that regulated businesses and small operators can never reach, the same injustice repeated itself at a civilizational scale.
Huitzo exists because intelligence deserves a body a place to live where the data is, where the work happens, where the businesses that built this country actually operate. I am building that body because nobody else sees this gap the way someone who grew up inside it does.
Huitzo is Zapotec for "Warrior Watchtower" A gateway and a guardian at the same time. The Zapotec people built San Pablo Huitzo in Oaxaca, Mexico, at the edge of the highland valley that connects the Sierra Norte to Monte Alban, the capital. A place of vigilance. A place that sees what is coming.
The Zapotec also built Mitla an architectural marvel of thousands of cut, polished stones fitted together without mortar into 14 distinct geometric patterns. Modular. Precise. Interlocking without dependencies. That is the structural metaphor for how Huitzo is built.
