Where the company stands
Huitzo is bootstrapped and pre-seed. Ernesto Sola-Thomas remains a full-time employee at Microsoft; Huitzo is built alongside that job, on personal time and personal hardware. There is no exit date and no exit trigger.
There is no open round. Huitzo is not raising. Preparation work continues, and investor-facing answers are prepared only at the founder's direction, checked against the company's current facts. To follow progress or request current materials, email the founder directly.

Huitzo provides the tools and expertise to build deterministic AI-powered systems.
The expertise is productized: it ships as the build tool, the training and the marketplace rules. Huitzo Inc. does not sell hours.
Deterministic means the control flow is fixed and testable: the same input runs the same coded path every time, each AI step is bounded, versioned and measured, and the runtime records what ran. Not certainty of output; reproducibility of process.
Section 2: THE DIFFERENTIATOR
Why this position is defensible
"Observers prove what crossed the wire. Huitzo proves what your application did."
Most AI assurance tools sit beside the application and attest to the calls it made. Huitzo is the runtime the application actually runs on, so the evidence of what happened is produced by the execution itself.
In the v0.1 record format, the record shows which branch of the business logic ran, which step was automated, which person approved, and the steps where no model was called at all.
We believe the industry needs a clear, graded standard for how AI is operated: verifiable levels of assurance an organization can climb, from basic execution logging to fully provable, boundary-enforced AI operation. Huitzo is building toward publishing that standard openly, with our own platform as its reference implementation. The first public draft is live: read the specification (v0.1).

- The Edge
Most enterprises use AI, but few capture meaningful value from it. The gap is architecture, not capability: no credible platform sits in the self-hosted, domain-specific quadrant. Enterprise platforms are priced for the largest buyers, open source is too complex to operate safely, and the large cloud platforms deepen the vendor lock-in the buyer is trying to escape.
- Structural
Across every regulated vertical the buyer pain is identical: we cannot send our data out, and we cannot afford a 12-18 month internal build. Regulation raises the cost of unprovable AI and makes an evidence story easier to sell, but no regulator forces anyone to buy Huitzo.
- Process-level
A wave of AI governance and assurance tools shipped in 2025-26, most of them attesting at the level of the model call. Huitzo is the runtime the application runs on, so its evidence comes from the execution itself: process-level rather than call-level.

Who is behind it
Huitzo is founder-led. Ernesto Sola-Thomas (Founder & CEO) is an enterprise infrastructure practitioner who works on large-scale production software; he wrote the platform. He remains a full-time employee at Microsoft, and Huitzo is built alongside that job, on personal time, with no exit date. Benjamin Ben-Dov Kuperman is the first team member to join after founding. He holds no executive title. The founder story is on the about page.
